Not every solar setup needs a hybrid inverter with built-in charge control. A lot of smaller residential systems, or a second controller added as backup in a larger one, just need something simple that does one job reliably. That’s what the SRNE HC2440 is for.
It’s a PWM controller rated at 40A, and it automatically senses whether your system is running at 12V or 24V, so there’s no manual switching to get wrong during install. Maximum PV input voltage is 55V, which covers most standard panel string configurations at this system size.
